Evanston, Wyoming

A lot has happened since the last time I wrote in our blog. The biggest thing is that we moved to Evanston, Wyoming. Many of you might ask, "Why Evanston?" We find ourselves asking that quite often too! When I look around, I miss Georgia, and I miss all of the green trees. I miss my friends, and all of the things that have become home to us. I drive through Evanston and see lots of hills and sagebrush. It is a different kind of beautiful. I am beginning to love the hills, and how every way you turn, you are looking towards the hills. Outside of the city of Evanston is a whole bunch of nothing! It is pretty to see the bare hills, and not have everything full of houses. On the downside, there isn't enough housing! We are having a hard time finding a house that we would like to rent! There are no apartment comlpexes that even have 3 bedroom apartments, so we are left to finding a house to rent. We have found one house that I think would be an OK place to live. It is a small 1980's house with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a farely nice kitchen. Jared and I are going to look at it today when he gets home from work. The issue that we are running into with that house is that they don't want a cat in the home. Since we just brought Bow (our cat) all the way to Utah (she is at my parent's house for now) I don't want to go someplace that we can't take our sweet kitty. Well, that and that it isn't nearly as nice as we are accustomed to. Oh well, we knew that it would be like this when we decided to take this position.

I will take some pictures within the next few days of everyting in our new life... the hospital that Jared is now working at, the Holiday Inn Express that we are currently calling home, and everything else about the city of Evanston!

Rachael,
while i was reading your blog, i realized that in my mind i pictured Evanston to look somewhat like Winder (as far as the foliage). So, i really want to see some pictures! I don't think that your moving across the country has really sunken in yet. I'm happy for ya'll, thats for sure! I hope that your journey to Evanston was quite smooth and uneventful. I'm sure that you have a good story about the trip though. You know, traveling with those sweet little angels of yours...uh, and a cat. I'll talk to you later girl.
